TEDxPSU, an IST Alumni Society event held this fall at Penn State, is seeking speakers and sponsors. See the note below from Executive Director and IST alum Steve Garguilo.

There has been a lot of exciting progress with TEDxPSU since the last communication! The Speaker Application is now open, as well as an Application Sharing Tool to help you easily spread the word throughout your network. Given that we want to bring the most amazing minds and dynamic speakers to Penn State, we definitely want you to reach out to your networks to make that happen! Remember this is an IST Alumni Society event, meaning it’s a real chance to show off to the University what we can do.

Additionally, we would like your help in finding sponsors for TEDxPSU. Given that we have IST alums in different organizations all throughout the world, we would like you to champion getting financial support from your respective companies. Please reach back out to info@tedxpsu.com and we will help prepare you and personalize a pitch for your organization with a Sponsorship Packet and slides that you can present to leadership. (This is also a great way to show some leadership/initiative by bringing a new idea to your leadership team!)

We greatly appreciate the support of the entire IST Alumni Society as we work towards the TEDxPSU dream. We can’t wait to fill Schwab Auditorium on October 10, 2010 with many great minds who want to share ideas and discuss solutions to the challenges facing the world.
