Alumni Relations Committee

The Alumni Relations Committee serves two main purposes, or groups of individuals.  First, we are here for current alumni to network, re-connect, give back and just be in touch with the school and their fellow alumni after graduation. We do this via networking events, frequent communications and other various social events held in a variety of geographic locations.

We are also here to prepare current students for their lives as alumni. Whether they want to admit it or not, students will become alumni in just a few short years.  It is our job to make our presence known and to be there for them when they cross that path. The society as a whole serves to instill a sense of relief in student’s minds as they can rest assured that once they graduate they can still remain in touch with their peers and the College of IST as much as they choose.  We often invite current students to participate in our events where possible and we include them in many of our communications.

The College of IST is more than just a place where we go for 4 years, graduate and move on.  It is a community, and in many cases a family of contacts, friends, teammates and peers that we often stay close to and interact with long after graduation.  The IST Alumni Society, and more specifically, the Alumni Relations Committee is here to facilitate and help maintain those relationships to the best of our ability.

Members Wanted
I am currently looking for motivated individuals who would be willing to create and maintain relationships with the various commonwealth campuses.  I would like them to plan and execute various events that benefit IST students at that campus and alumni close to that geographic vicinity.  The means in which to do that is entirely up to the creative mind of the individual.  We have given panel discussions, held Q&A sessions with IST classes, held happy hours and are working towards providing access to guest speakers and industry professionals for the students.  We would like to further promote the idea of One IST, and by involving the commonwealth campuses we can certainly do that.
