VE: 3060 Information Security Analyst</strong></p>
<p>Position Summary:</p>
<p>Will provide support to several Security Department initiatives as follows: Develop and maintain<br />
auditing programs to validate compliance with various government regulations and Laboratory<br />
IT security policies. Participate in the investigation and remediation of network contaminations.<br />
Perform PKI audits, wireless security scans, perimeter compliance inspections and network<br />
vulnerability assessments. Training/briefing experience is desired. Must have excellent follow-up<br />
and problem solving skills.</p>
<p>Requirements:<br />
• Associate&#8217;s degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, Information Security or<br />
related field.<br />
• A minimum of 1-3 years of experience in Information Security required.<br />
• Experience compliance auditing, security reviews or vulnerability assessments is desired.<br />
• Technical experience and skills, course work completed toward a degree, and industry IT<br />
certifications (i.e., CISSP, CISA) may be considered substitutes for education and experience.<br />
• Excellent and written and verbal communication skills required.<br />
• Local as well as some overnight travel may be required.<br />
• Will be subject to a security investigation and must meet eligibility requirements for access to<br />
classified information.<br />

• Performs computer and malware forensic analysis.<br />
• Develops internal computer forensic analysis techniques.<br />
• Creates and reviews malware and computer forensic analysis reports. Participates in and<br />
documents interviews.<br />
• Maintains evidentiary chain of custody.<br />
• Provides internal training on computer forensic analysis techniques and documents computer<br />
forensic analysis procedures.<br />
• Participates as a member of the Computer Security Incident Response Team.<br />
• Ensure configuration management of Forensic Analysis Center hardware and software is<br />
maintained and documented.<br />
• May assist in compliance inspections and reviews and conduct audits as required.<br />
• Training/briefing experience is desired.<br />
• Must be able to respond to off-hour emergencies as needed.<br />
• Must have demonstrated ability to follow-up and solve problems.<br />
