SRA Cyber Security Intrusion Analyst (Martinsburg, PA)
Thursday, January 6th, 2011This position supports a Civilian Agency Computer Emergency Response Team (CERT) organization protecting the network security of hundreds of thousands of users supporting elements of the nation’s critical infrastructure for multiple cabinet-level agencies. The work site is located in Martinsburg, PA.
Daily Responsibilities:
* Perform in-depth analysis in support of Network Monitoring and Incident Response operations supporting multiple Cabinet-Level Federal Agencies
* Develops requirements for technical capabilities for cyber incident management
* Recommends configuration changes to improve the performance, usability, and value of cyber analysis tools
* Ensures technology employed by the incident response team compliments operational processes
* Identify, analyze, remediate, and report on cyber security incidents
* Interact with cyber intelligence analysts conducting threat analysis operations as well as numerous IT professionals performing varying technical roles within the client organization
* Provide verbal briefings to clients on pending cyber incidents
* Analyze malware to determine direct threat to client organization
In addition to required education or equivalent experience:
• Clearable to Secret
• Bachelors in Computer Science or Information Technology
• 4 years Information technology
• 2 years network security analysis using intrusion detection systems experience with the following:
o Packet-level Analysis
o Intrusion Analysis
o Troubleshooting
o Oral and Written Communications
o TCP/IP
